You’ve Done the Work. Now Let’s Honor It.
At Global IOC, we believe learning doesn’t always happen in a classroom—and it shouldn’t have to. If you've been leading, coaching, mentoring, or guiding others through change, chances are you’ve already built the wisdom and skill that great coaches bring to the table.
That’s why we created the Assessment-Only Track, grounded in the principle of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Rather than asking you to start over, we invite you to bring everything you’ve already learned and demonstrate it. Our process is designed to celebrate your path, not erase it.
What Counts as Prior Learning?
Coaching expertise can come from many directions. You may be eligible if you’ve completed or engaged in:
Accredited coach training with other providers
Internal leadership or coaching programs in your organization
Graduate studies in psychology, adult learning, communication, or counseling
Professional experience applying coaching skills in leadership, HR, OD, or consulting
Soft skills training in areas like emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, or active listening
We recognize that competence is not just taught—it’s earned through reflection, practice, and meaningful experience.
How It Works
If accepted into the Assessment-Only Track, you’ll engage in a supportive, rigorous process to showcase your growth:
Submit a Portfolio
Document your coaching experience, learning journey, and alignment with Global IOC’s learning outcomes.
Demonstrate Your Coaching
Engage in a behavioral interview with a coaching supervisor to bring your practice to life.
Receive Feedback & Reflect
Get tailored feedback from a certified assessor and reflect on your strengths and opportunities for continued development.
Earn Your Certification
Once competencies are verified, you’ll receive the same respected Global IOC credential as full-program participants. If gaps emerge, we’ll recommend targeted steps so you feel both recognized and resourced.
Who This Is For
Coaches who have trained elsewhere and want recognized certification
Experienced leaders or HR professionals using coaching every day
University-trained professionals with strong interpersonal and facilitative skills
Individuals who’ve walked unconventional paths to coaching excellence
If you’ve been doing the work, you deserve the recognition. We’re here to make sure you get it—with dignity, fairness, and respect.
Why Global IOC?
We are the bridge between scholarship and practice, built by professionals who understand that real learning happens in boardrooms, classrooms, living rooms, and sometimes, the school of hard knocks. Our approach is rigorous and discerning—but always human.
We don’t just credential coaches. We recognize your journey and equip you for the impact still ahead.
