Coaching has become increasingly relevant to the success of businesses. It has also become a key leadership competency and with leaders at all levels who develop coaching skills driving higher levels of performance and revenue. The Global Institute of Organizational Coaching (Global IOC) partners with the Imago Performance Consulting Group to provide faculty and consultation for the Core Corporate Coaching Program. The Core Coaching Program provides participants with foundational coaching skills that address current and emerging needs within a business context.

We are excited to announce that our Global IOC Core Corporate Coaching Program has been awarded the prestigious global distinction WABC Accredited (Level 1-RCC)™.

The WABC Accredited™ mark signifies that our program has met the highest global standards for business coaching training programs as set by the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches ™ (WABC™) the leading global authority for the business coaching industry. For our program to achieve this global designation, we had to undergo rigorous independent assessment. This independent assessment was designed exclusively for business coaching programs and built around evidence-based business coaching competencies. For our program to maintain this designation, we have to engage in regular re-evaluation to ensure our program stays relevant and continues to meet the highest global standards for business coach training programs.

An added bonus of getting our program accredited by WABC™ is that graduates of our program are eligible to receive their own individual qualification from WABC™, namely Registered Corporate Coach™ (RCC™). Receiving the RCC™ qualification means they have successfully completed our program and can then be accepted as a WABC™ member (no other examinations are required by WABC™ to receive RCC™). You many learn more about the RCC™ eligibility requirements from WABC™.

Program Overview

Participants will learn the Global IOC Coaching Model™ developed from the latest research in coaching along with organizational behavior and organizational development principles, creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners, and business coaching practices.  The program structure is a blend of virtual highly interactive sessions along with self-paced independent learning.  One to one oversights with master certified faculty deepen and enhance the coaching practice.

The Global IOC Coaching Program is led by Dr. Peggy Marshall, a WABC Certified Master Business Coach (CMBC™) and Senior Research Fellow at University of Wales Trinity St. David.  Dr. Marshall brings over twelve years of leading an organizational coaching and development program with a world-class internal coaching program at a Fortune 100 firm.  As faculty are added, they will also hold or be working towards the CMBC™ designation.

Tracks and Formats*

The Global IOC RCC™ Corporate Coaching Program is offered in two tracks (Fast and Assessment Only) and three venues (Virtual, Live and Live-Customized) The Fast Track is for participants who have been engaged in some coaching within a business context. The Fast Track is currently offered virtually, as a customized program within an organizational setting and as an Assessment Only process. You can read about the customized programs at the Customized Corporate Programs tab. Live classes are being scheduled globally for fall 2019 and early 2020.

The Assessment Only track is for participants who have a coaching designation and/or considerable experience with coaching and want a designation with WABC™.  Candidates are required to provide evidence of past learning related to coaching, business coaching practice, and coaching oversight that equals 75 hours.  The finalization of the Assessment Only process includes an interview and review of coaching logs, learning achieved and documented coaching oversight.

The Global IOC Core Corporate Coaching Program (Fast Track) is offered virtually in one-hour sessions for 12 weeks.  There is an additional self-study requirement of 1.5 hours per week.  One to one coaching oversight by CMBC™ coaches is provided twice monthly with group peer coaching occurring monthly.  Participants will submit portfolios of work completion and upon successful fulfillment of the program requirements will be able to apply for the WABC RCC™ designation.
